Terms and Conditions for Dog Walking Service
The Service is subject to the below Terms and Conditions. By using the Service the Client agrees to the terms below. Tails On Trails Dog Walking reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time.
Bookings
The Dog Walking Service can only be provided if there is available time in Tails On Trails Dog Walking's schedule and in the days/times advertised.
Tails On Trails Dog Walking will agree a booking time with the Client which we will strive to keep. If there is an unforeseen circumstance such as transport problems the booking time maybe changed. The Client will be informed of any change.
The Client should book a Dog Walking Service 48 hours before they wish the service to begin. Service before this may not be possible.
Cancellations
Tails On Trails Dog Walking should be informed 7 days before the Client wishes to cancel their service.
Tails On Trails Dog Walking reserves the right to cancel the service/booking at any time. The Client will be given 2 weeks notice if the service is to be canceled.
Tails On Trails Dog Walking may cancel the service or a walk at short notice due to extreme or uncontrollable circumstances such as illness, safety, health issues or transport problems. The Client will be informed.
Contact Details
The Client must provide a phone number in case of emergency or other need to get it touch. This should be given before the first walk.
Tails On Trails Dog Walking will provide the Client with a contact phone number.
The Client should inform Tails On Trails Dog Walking of any change of details relevant to the service such as contact numbers and address details.
Holidays
If Tails On Trails Dog Walking is unable to provide a Dog Walking Service due to holidays the Client will be given 1 months notice.
General
Prices/price structure maybe changed in the future (Client will be informed of any relevant price change).
Tails On Trails Dog Walking will perform an initial meeting and walk to evaluate suitability. Tails On Trails Dog Walking reserves the right to refuse any dog that is deemed unsuitable.
Tails On Trails Dog Walking cannot provide service for dogs which are aggressive, very unruly and in any way a danger to the public.
Tails On Trails Dog Walking cannot provide service if any other animal in residence is aggressive and in any way a danger to the public.
Tails On Trails Dog Walking cannot provide service if any other animal accompanying our service is aggressive and in any way a danger to the public.
Tails On Trails Dog Walking is not responsible for any other animal it is in contact with during the service.
All dogs should wear a collar with the owner’s name and address on it. Tails and Trails will not be responsible for any loss or legal issue resulting from no tag.
Tails and Trails Dog Walking cannot provide service for dogs that have the physical characteristics of the following types: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Brasileiro.
If dogs are to be dried after a walk Tails On Trails Dog Walking can perform a quick dry if a towel is provided.
If at any point Tails On Trails Dog Walking deems any dog, including any animals in residence, to be unsuitable for the service then it reserves the right to cancel the service without notice.
If at any point these terms and conditions are breached then Tails On Trails Dog Walking reserves the right to cancel the service without notice.
In extreme weather, Tails On Trails Dog Walking will use discretion and may take your dog(s) home early from a walk for safety reasons. Tails On Trails Dog Walking will inform the Client if this happens and with permission can stay and keep the dog(s) occupied in the residence.
Equipment
The Client must provide all relevant items required to care of the dog(s) whilst in our care. For example, leads, poo bags, items for cleaning.
Provided dog leads, collars, muzzles or harnesses and any other equipment should be in reasonable condition. The Client is liable if a dog escapes, is lost, injures someone, runs away or causes damage due to faulty or damaged equipment
Property
If a key is provided, the Client gives Tails On Trails Dog Walking the right to enter and leave the relevant residence during the booking time.
The Client must provide access to the dog(s) at the relevant booked times so they can be picked up and dropped off. If a key is provided it will only be used for the purposes of the service provided. If the key is agreed by the Client to be kept by us, it will stored in a secure location and will be returned upon any request by the Client.
The Client is liable for any loss or damage of leads, collars or any other items left with Tails On Trails Dog Walking (unless Tails On Trails states it will be liable).
The Client is liable for any damage/loss/harm to the relevant property, the property's contents or any animal in residence during the service, now or in the future (unless Tails On Trails states it will be liable).
Tails On Trails Dog Walking will not be liable for any damage or loss to the relevant property or the property’s contents due to loss of home key now or in the future.
Health and Safety
Depending on the circumstances, Tails On Trails Dog Walking may not provide service for dogs or any other animal in residence that are ill or have an infection due to risk of infection spreading to other animals.
The Client must keep Tails On Trails updated on any infection, other health or behavioral problem.
The Client is liable for any loss, harm, damage, illness, legal issue or costs caused by the dog(s) whilst under Tails On Trails’s care (unless Tails On Trails states it will be liable).
The Client is liable for the cost (and related costs) of any harm/illness/medical issue that the dog(s) receive whilst under Tails On Trails’s care (unless Tails On Trails states it will be liable).
Tails On Trails Dog Walking will not be liable if a dog is harmed in any way, takes ill, goes missing or is stolen (unless Tails On Trails states it will be liable).
If the dog(s) are injured or take extremely ill during the service, Tails On Trails Dog Walking will try to contact the Client to agree a suitable course of action. If the Client cannot be contacted, Tails On Trails Dog Walking reserves the right to arrange a vet visit and treatment if we feel the animals life maybe at risk. The Client will be liable for any costs associated with this (unless Tails On Trails states it will be liable).
Client must inform Tails On Trails Dog Walking of any dog, including any animals in residence, that has behavioral problems or issues.
Dogs will be kept on a lead at all times unless the Client agrees to off-lead walking. Clients who agree to off-lead walking must have reasonable recall.
Tails On Trails Dog Walking must be informed of any illness, infection or other health issue a dog, including any animals in residence may have.
Insurance
Tails On Trails Dog Walking has its own comprehensive insurance but we would advise that our Clients have their own pet insurance for the relevant animals.
Payment
Client will be sent an invoice every 2 weeks for ongoing services. Payment due within 15 days of Invoice Date.
Minimum payment of £12.00 per service for 1 dog, £20.00 per service for 2 dogs and £28.00 per service for 3 dogs.
